Oct. 1969 Sumisho Machinery Export Service Company Ltd. was established in order to carry out the coordinating functions for machinery and instruments export. 90 percents of the capital was owned by Sumitomo Corporation (Capital:20 million yen).

Mar. 1970 Sumisho Machinery Trade Corporation was established to carry out coordinating functions for the export and import of electric wires, electrical, electronic and communication equipment and various types of plants. The capital was fully owned by Sumitomo Corporation (Capital:15 million yen).

May. 1971 The Osaka Office of Sumisho Machinery Trade Corporation was established.
Jul. 1971 The company name of Sumisho Machinery Export Service Company Ltd. was changed to Sumisho Machinery Export Ltd.
Aug. 1971 Sumitomo Corporation acquired 100 percent of the capital of Sumisho Machinery Export Ltd.

Apr. 1974 Sumisho Machinery Export Ltd. and Sumisho Machinery Trade Corporation were merged on equal terms to mutually assist each other and to develop further as a directly affiliated concern of the machinery and electrical divisions of Sumitomo Corporation. The new company was named Sumisho Machinery Trade Corporation(Capital:35 million yen).

Sep. 1975 The Capital was increased to 48 million yen.

Oct. 1980 The capital was increased to 100 million yen.

Feb. 1981 The head office moved to Kinsan Building, 18-3, Kanda Nishiki-cho 3-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
Oct. 1981 The Capital was increased to 300 million yen.

Oct. 1983 The capital was increased to 450 million yen. The branch office was settled at 23-1, Kanda Awaji-cho 2-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

Oct. 1985 The Osaka Office was changed to the Osaka Branch.

Apr. 1986 The branch office was settled at 1-6, Nishikanda 3-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

Nov. 1987 Head office and the two branch offices in Tokyo all moved into the new building office located at 4-3, Hitotsubashi 2-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 101-8432, Japan.

Apr. 2000 The Electronics Division (including The Osaka Branch) was spun off as a new company.

Apr. 2001 The head office moved to 8-12, Harumi 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
