Iron and steel, nonferrous metals, and heavy electrical machinery are key industries in every country.
The Transportation Equipment & Material Division's principal exports comprise the castings
and forgings used in these industries. The Division also imports alkaline and lead-acid batteries
from one of the world's leading makers in Europe, and provides these to domestic railway, airline,
and electric power companies. The Division is expanding into other business sectors
such as paper manufacturing machinery and related equipment trading with Europe.
This sector combines basic industrial infrastructure and advanced technology.
